Here we go!
Word for the day is COMMITMENT.
At times, this word is a struggle for me because its so easy to be committed one day and then the next day encounter a setback. Before you know it, that big ole ‘c’ word is out the door.
So… I’ve got a pair of smaller-sized jeans as a key little reminder that I’ve got W-O-R-K to do.
Its interesting how I was listening to a sermon yesterday where the pastor stated he loved donuts and chocolate as well as chocolate donuts…lol. But, once he made the commitment to do away with junk food during his fitness journey, he knew he was in for a challenge. (I have to tell you that pastor is now in great shape and he’s probably in his late 40s)
So…anytime he had cravings, he’d say to himself “Christ is stronger than the appetites within me…” Whether you’re a Christian or not, is none of my business, but it’s helpful to find a special motivating message to speak to yourself when you crave the wrong things during this journey.
Please remember… it’s not all about size or a number on the scale. It’s about being BETTER all the way around.
For example… to be Healthier in Mind, Body, & Spirit. To be Stronger. More determined. More Disciplined.
These are the objectives, at least for myself, during this 30 day challenge.

Lowcarb (i.e. whole foods such as meat, veggies and a little fruit here and there)
Lots of WATER (The goal is to drink half your weight in ounces of water)
