Mother Helping Toddler Walk

Its interesting to see a toddler take its first steps. He/she may fall, but they always get back up again. Isn’t that a great example of what we should do in life? Loves it!

Do you remember what it was like to dream as a child? You know all those ideas you had of what you wanted to become when you grew up?  Now you’re grown. Maybe you feel stuck…like where do I go from here? Or…perhaps you’re in a dead-end job, want to lose some weight, improve your relationship or are just plain tired of being sick and tired. Don’t worry! We all go through those stages where we want MORE out of life.

In our daily walk, things will take all kinds of twists and turns, but it’s important to know that everything happens for a reason and for a season. There is stuff that happens outside of our control and then there are other things that happen because of our own bad choices and/or habits.  For every mistake or failure, there is an AWESOME lesson to be learned.

Back to dreaming…so what does your best life look like?  What skills, passions, and other gifts do you see yourself using to make that dream a reality?

Truth is …a dream is just a fantasy until we give it some feet!

Keys to Putting Feet to your Dreams.

Ready? here we go!:)

Have faith. Believe in the power of your dreams and know that if it’s truly something that could bless others, then God gave you that vision for a purpose and wants you to take action.

Write down your vision and goals. You wouldn’t take a road trip without planning it out, would you? The same goes for life, once there’s a plan, then you’ll know what steps to take next. Break it down into daily action steps.

Fight the fear. It’s natural for everyone to deal with fear and anxiety, just don’t let it paralyze you. Listen to motivational empowering messages, pray about it…this will condition your mind with inspiration and you will start to feel less fearful about what it is you want to accomplish.

Just DO it. Nike’s slogan has it right. If we just do it, the rewards far outweigh what would happen if we sit back and procrastinate. Wouldn’t you agree? Go for it! It doesn’t have to be perfect just as long as you take those necessary steps, then you can improve as you go.  Know that the only way you fail is if you do nothing.

Take it one day at a time. Consistency is key and if you take action every day, you will grow and get closer to living your dream life.

Time to make those dreams WALK!;)

Today’s inspirational verse:

“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize?  So run to win!… So I run with purpose in every step.  I am not just shadowboxing.”  1 Corinthians 9:24, 26
